THE ANTS GO MARCHING

Written by

(Sing to the tune of “When Johnny Comes Marching Home”)
The ants go marching one by one,
Hurrah, hurrah.
The ants go marching one by one,
Hurrah, hurrah.
The ants go marching one by one,
The little one stopped to wiggle its thumb.
They all go marching,
Marching to escape the rain.
The ants go marching two by two,
The little one stopped to tie its shoe.
The ants go marching three by three,
The little one stopped to disagree.
The ants go marching four by four.
The little one stopped to shut the door.
The ants go marching five by five.
The little one stopped learning to dive.
The ants go marching six by six.
The little one stopped to do some tricks.
The ants go marching seven by seven.
The little one stopped to wait for Devon.
The ants go marching eight by eight.
The little one stopped to shut the gate.
The ants go marching nine by nine.
The little one stopped to walk a line.
The ants go marching ten by ten.
The little one stopped to shout, “The End!”
